De start om 12 minuten over 12. Een rondvraag leerde dat er veel animo was om Willem eens in het zonnetje te zetten. Willem is een gewaarde loper en organisator van vele prachtige en perfect verzorgde marathons en ultralopen. Een lintje van de koningin kreeg hij al en nu was het aan de collega lopers om Willem een blijvende herinnering te geven voor zijn tot jubileum marathon gekozen nummer 1212. Na met de pet rond te zijn gegaan bestelde ik een fraaie beker, die achteraf ook nog eens 1212 millimeter groot bleek te zijn en maar net in de kofferbak paste. Maar Willem is ook een grote vent dus dan kun je niet met een klein bekertje aankomen. Voor Annemarie, die op de achtergrond veel werk verzet en de verzorging voor haar rekening neemt van evenementen in binnen- en buitenland was er een grote kerstster. In de felicitatie kaart waren de namen van alle bijdragende loopvrienden vermeld. Op deze pagina een korte foto-impressie.
