Een unieke en eenmalige marathon waarbij de start en finish plaatsvond op de Stadsring, de doorgaande weg door het centrum van Amersfoort. Daarnaast kende de route unieke passages door de brandweerkazerne, de dierentuin, het NS Station inclusief trappen, een psychiatrische instelling en een militair terrein. Er waren veel initiatieven van de plaatselijk bevolking om de lopers aan te moedigen. Het evenement kende 11.000 inschrijvingen en 1.400 mensen die professioneel of vrijwillig meehielpen op de dag van het evenement. De vlag van Amersfoort werd over de finish gedragen door Ben Mol en Francis Spoelstra \ud83d\ude42<\/address>\n<address>\u00a0<\/address>\n<address>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1813\"
